In 2002 Stiearc entered into a joint venture with Paywell Australia Pty Ltd to develop a payroll system. Stiearc was tasked to develop the new payroll system, Paywell Plus, using the Gensol Technology. This project involved a large team including 6 expert payroll consultants and took several years to complete. It was a success and Paywell Plus was adopted quickly by 60 tier-2 customers ranging in size from 100 to 12000 employees Australia-wide. Stiearc no longer directly sells the Paywell Plus software but receives royalties from sales of the product.

Following on from the lessons learned in this project Stiearc was able to pursue its vision to create a fully integrated suite of workforce management solutions. This resulted in a vastly improved payroll system designed for Australian businesses and utilizing the very best in current technology.

The Gensol Payroll calculation engine is the most flexible and easily configured payroll engine available for Australian conditions today.

The Gensol HR system integrates seamlessly with Gensol Payroll and provides the full suite of resource management functions but having the benefit of single data entry for employee masterfile entries. Gensol HR provides immediate access for Management to the key Workforce Management information.

The Manager and Employee Self-Service module enables easy interaction and access to important personal information, payslip history, and facilitating leave requests.

My background is in software application development. However, since 2002 I have been engaged in the ongoing management of the development of resource management software. More recently, I have been involved in the account management for customers interested in Gensol Payroll, HR and Roster.
